Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for Dietary Supplements

The FDA regulates both finished dietary supplement products and dietary ingredients to ensure their safety and appropriate labeling. In June, 2007, FDA published comprehensive regulations for Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) directed at those who manufacture, package or hold dietary supplement products. These regulations focus on practices that ensure product identity, purity, quality, strength and composition. This lecture-based course provides training on 21 CFR 111, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in manufacturing, packaging, labeling or holding operations for dietary supplements.  Attention is given to the sixteen subparts, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a culture of quality.
